Find the external version

If a creative task keeps stalling, check whether it needs a picture you can't make.

Steps to follow:

  1. Choose a task that feels blocked.
  2. Write what it needs you to do in your head before you can start.
  3. If the answer is "picture it", find the outside version: a reference photo, a tool, a person, software or an AI prompt.
  4. Get that outside version in front of you.
  5. Spend ten minutes working on it directly.
  6. Write down what changed about how the task felt.
